Archie is a 2 year old male Cross-Breed. He is currently living in Peterborough. He is about 22 inches tall and looking for a forever home.
Archie has a lovely temperament, he is very affectionate and playful with humans he trusts.
He is friendly with other dogs and likes to play. He loves walks in the countryside and enjoys being let off the lead in a safe environment to run and sniff.
Archie is bouncy and full of energy. He would benefit from a good size garden, regular exercise and other dogs to play with.
He likes to chase cats and would be a better fit for a home with no other pets but dogs. Archie is fully house-trained and walks well in his harness.
Archie arrived in the UK quite traumatised from his difficult Romanian past. He was a scared pup and needed time to get used to his new life.
Everything and everyone were new and he struggled to let his old fears go. He made incredible progress but still lacks confidence around strangers.
He fully trusts one of his humans but struggles to open up around other people. From time to time, he still feels he needs to defend himself and protect his human, but only shows it through vocalising his fears and nothing else.
Archie needs a family who will be ready to invest their time and effort into consistent training. He would benefit from learning from a friendly, more experienced resident dog, but it’s not a must.
He is such a sweet soul and deserves a family that will love him and believe in him. We know that given a chance and time, he will thrive and make a wonderful, loyal friend.
